Instant Classic!

this weekend, i finally read Fierce, the action-adventure graphic novel by the Love brothers, Robert and Jeremy (Chocolate Thunder). the book stars Jonathan Fierce, a Jamerican FBI profiler with Minority Report-style ESP that allows him to see murders and other crimes before they happen. When Jamaican gangsters kill his team, the only real family he's ever had, and the FBI wants to charge him with the crime, Fierce kidnaps the fly psychiatrist who's developed a crush on him and heads to Kingston where he must face the ghosts of his past, evade capture by the feds, and take on the Jamaican underworld head-on. thankfully, Fierce can now hear the voices of his slain teammates, and channel their skills and abilities to become a one-man strike force, so it's all good.
Fierce has
good art and a great story. the action-packed pacing has the feel of the kind of action movie that black folks would love to see in theaters or on cable teevee, so if you like those kindsa films, give this graphic novel a shot!
if you check it out (or if you already read it), let me know what you thought!
