Start the Day off Right w/Napolean the Legend and La Femme Nakita

Texas is so full of rappers that I found one on a video for DMV'er Napolean Da Legend. He picked up La Femme Nakita for his "riding- around-the- hood-rapping" video Can't Help Myself, where she proceeds to earn the lift by dropping a few bars...

PREVIEW: Agents of WTF

Quick album (p)Review: "The Golden Age" by DPRTMNT

The intro to Canadian hip hop duo DPRTMNT's 22 track album The Golden Age reveals that their name is based on the Canadian superscience agency that produced Wolverine and Alpha Flight. So the nerdcore code says I at LEAST had to give them a try and recommend some good tracks for your hard drive...

"It's Funny: People used to give my mother a hard time, now my President is Black and his name's as hard as mine." -Talib Kweli

The ladies of Vicious Cycle are back on that microphone bullyball shit with their sophomore offering Volume Contol...

Cyclops VS T'challa: FIGHT!!! (sorta)

Okay, so I have no particular evidence that the Black Panther appears in Astonishing X-men #44, but I'm pretty sure that if T'challa walked into his local comic shop and saw this cover, Storm would have some serious 'splainin' to do...

ILLTone + Shade Cobain = Blacktivity

I've been a fan of Illtone for a minute (via the Detroit area crew the Lyricists), so when he dropped the link to Blacktivity, his new EP with beatsmith Shade Cobain, I HAD to check it out!

Dreaming of @AlkhemiJones

It's been a long while since I laid eyes on Alkhemi Jones, but absence makes the heart grow fonder, right? Sigh... here's some youTubery to tide me over for your musical enjoyment ...

If you think you're not a fan of LeSean Thomas, check the credits of the best American cartoons of the last decade, and you'll realize you were one of us all along...

PREVIEW- X-factor #227

I gotta say, this preview of X-factor #227 is pretty educational. For one thing, the team looks as good as ever in the hands of veteran X-scribe Peter David and artist Leonard Kirk (Captain Britain and MI:13, World War Hulk - Warbound). I wouldn't have thought it possible, but Kirk actually makes Hangman look awesome, and he's particularly sympathetic in this preview as well... Y'know, for a walking symbol of hate crime...

PREVIEW- Starborn #12 (Final Issue)

Yeah, you missed it: Starborn #12 brings Stan Lee's little shared-universe science hero books to a close. But hey, peep the dope art in this preview by your man Khary Randolph and cop the trade...

In Stores Now- Mr. Terrific # 3

I've gotten lots of feedback about the new Mister Terrific reboot, and pretty much all of it was bad. Everyone who mentioned the art of Gianluca Gugliotta hated it... He's not drawing the art on #3 (no matter what this cover says), so I'm curious how people will like the new guy...

Comicbook World #61- Millions Die from Mind-Controlling Parasites

This is not a hoax or an imaginary story! An airborne mind-controlling fungus that turns its victims into suicidal mindless zombies is responsible for multiplied millions of deaths in the Washington DC area alone, according to Mike Raupp, an entomologist at the University of Maryland.
