Even if you don't read it regularly, ya gotta love @ErikJLarsen's SAVAGE DRAGON...

I actually bought TWO comic books this week (yeah, really!), and neither one of them was Savage Dragon #197... BUT! I did read this issue in the store. It was awesome...

Our favorite zombie-smashing lesbian (Rylie of THE ABANDONED) returns in @RossCampbelll's new webcomic CAN'T LOOK BACK!

You pro'lly already know I'm a big fan of rising star cartoonist Ross Campbell (Glory, TMNT, Shadoweyes, Wet Moon), whose mastery of drawing lovely girls of every conceivable shape, size and color is matched only by his skill at writing them as fully-realized characters. My introduction to Ross's work came from running across the ruthless zombie invasion graphic novel The Abandoned that he put out as part of Tokyopop's awesome but ultimately doomed line of American graphic novels. I said all that to say that Ross's new webcomic Can't Look Back picks up where The Abandoned left off. Sorta...

#downloadThis- Pragmatic Theory presents "Forces Within the Framework" and "#MASSACR"

Instead of going to sleep after work like a sensible dude, I checked my messages and shared a couple choice joints on the GhettoManga Facebook wall. The first person to like it was an emcee named SLiM PiCKENS, who had the cover of Pragmatic Theory's album #MASSACR for his profile pic (maybe the dopest record cover I have seen all year). So scrolling through his pics revealed the above cover for Forces Within the Framework, and I could no longer resist the pull of their bandcamp page...

#nowPlaying "Han Solo (Chewie Tell 'Em)" by @VerbalGunslinga

"Got a lotta friends and a lotta ends,
So I let the wookie win,
Like my name was Han Solo..."
-Verbal Gunslinger

I know next to nothing about Louisville to Richmond transplant Verbal Gunslinger... But when he favorited a tweet for my blog post about the last week's Conspiracy Worldwide Radio podcast, curiosity got the best of me...

#nowPlaying THE HAMMER by Jeru the Damaja

I was driving when I heard a new song by Jeru on the Conspiracy Worldwide Radio podcast on Friday. I was so surprised to hear the Damaja's voice that I had trouble staying in my lane. Fortunately, I managed to hold the steering wheel, so here we are. To celebrate the fact that I lived through another day in Dallas traffic, let's peep this youtube rip of Jeru's new EP The Hammer before they take it down.

CWR interviews Cormega, Ish from Shabazz Palaces, Bob Power and more, plus tons of brand new HIP HOP music!

While I was zipping around Dallas traffic Friday, I was rocking out to the Conspiracy Worldwide Radio podcast, wherein the homies Montana and Menace provided me with TONS of new hip hop music from the US and the UK, plus interviews with Cormega, Ishmael Butler from Shabazz Palaces (aka Butterfly from Digable Planets), Watson and Holmes (Stu Bangas and Blacastan, not the award-winning indie comic), and more. Five hours of uncut dope from across the pond...
