I don't care what anybody says, I think it's about time for a Disney tale with a black hand side! My kids will definitely get a front row seat. Even if the witch doctor looks like Baron Zamdi from Sugar Hill:)
Not really a fan of Disney, but I admire their traditional animation. Beautiful work. I'm curious if they'll send the wrong message with this tale's moral (see Hunchback)?

To tell the truth, I wasn't wowed by the trailer. But, I've read a couple of early reviews of the movie and they were very positive.

ReplyDeletei'm pretty sure they will send a message i don't agree with at some point, but i feel pretty confident that i'll be able to work with it.
ReplyDeleteadults dissect kids' entertainment way too much. in my experience, if a child likes a story, you can use it to teach them whatever message you want.
back in the day, i used Transformers: The Movie for Bible study pretty effectively, even though that was far from the message the studio intended.
