here's the first page to Herman Heed, the new kid's comic I'm drawing for my client. because the script called for a preteen kid who has mad deductive reasoning skills, rocks shelltoes and wears his kangol extra low, I figured he would also love my man Jamar's comic Detective Boogaloo: Hip Hop Cop, so son has a copy on his desk. the chick in the second panel is a shout out to my man Steelo, who cracks me up drawing people cheesing like that... The writer said he thought the groom was a cross between Heavy D and Al B Sure, so I knew I was doing my job right!
