This joint was released this week, to the delight of her fans. Unfortunately, she doesn't rhyme on this, just bless the track with the red velvet vocals... click here to download it anyways. No word yet as to whether this was a NEW track or just an unreleased one. But as Hill told Zoe Chace of NPR, her youngest child is two years old, and she feels comfortable to get back in the game again... to that effect, Lauryn will be headlining the Rock The Bells tour this year, so get yourself ready, fam!
we love you Lauryn...
holla!
samax.
I think this is an unreleased track.
ReplyDeleteHeads up on Lauryn if you don't know. If she's coming to do a show in your town, BUYER BE WARNED. She may be a little bit late.
I don't go out to many shows but when I do, the last thing I want to deal with is some one being late to the venue and/or their performance for 30 - 45 minutes. She has been notoriously late for longer periods. I don't know if she cleaned up her act but . . . whatever.
Not for nothing, I'm content with listening to her 1st CD and The Score. I'm not holding my breath for a return, reunion or anything like that, it's the same story.
I don't go out to a lot of shows. Most of the ones I go to are for Indie acts...
ReplyDeleteI assume Lauryn has the Diva Virus these days (prefers to be addressed as "Ms. Hill"), and that alone will keep me from going to shows, until I hear that they are awesome, which I have, as yet, not heard.
I'm pretty sure the Fugees reunion will never happen. There's beef there, and I don't even want to know what it's all about.
All that said, I hope she records again. I expect she will want to sing more than rap, from the sound of her interviews. I would love to have a soul record with some substance to it.
Lauryn will likely be unable to live up to the hype no matter what she does... but I'm hoping she can put out some quality music.
