Check out this preview of STORM #5 (also #4 cuz I'm late...)

While I was off doing the whole "working poor" thing, Storm has been getting her goddess on, doing good deeds all around the globe. But it looks like her long-time teammate and friend Wolverine died or something, so we get to see that Ororo handles grief a little bit differently via these previews from issues 4 and 5...

The sales pitch:

• Storm is grieving the loss of her friend, teammate and lover, Wolverine. His death has left loose ends and a pair of shoes that’s hard to fill.
• But with the help of her longtime friend and ally, Yukio, Storm may just find solace in taking care of Wolverine’s unfinished business…and filling his shoes all too well!

Yukio is always getting into some dumb shit... No worries. I mean, I know better than to sleep on the Breakworld Clan, but Storm ain't nothin' to eff wit', seen? As someone who rode with Storm during the Dark Age of comics, when every superhero flirted with being an anti-hero (and Storm was the biggest badass on the block), Ororo's insistence that she won't kill for any reason amuses me.
But whatever. Pak and Ibanez have already established that Storm remains a grade A badass even though killing is not on the table. Speaking of which, Ibanez kilt the art in the opening to issue four. Hope they have copies left when I go to buy issue five, which comes out November 19th.
So if you've been reading STORM, I'm interested to hear your thoughts on it so far.

Peace,

Samax Amen draws people, places and things for fun and profit. He is the artist of many great comics you never heard of like Herman Heed, Champion of Children, The Brother and The World As You Know It. He even writes and draws his own comics, like Dare: The Adventures of Darius Davidson, Spontaneous, and Manchild when he gets around to it. Because making comics is hard and stuff, he started GhettoManga as a blog in 2006 and as a print magazine in 2008.
