In the mood for a little BARBARIAN REVENGE?

Brandon Graham is one of my favorite cartoonists ever.  Brandon loves to play with the mechanics of comic book story telling, using every tool a cartoonist might have in his toolbox. For example, these pages are from Barbarian Revenge, a comic being read by Nik, the werewolf character in Multiple Warheads.

"Quiet, wench."  Barbarians...
I snatched these pages off Brandon's Twitter feed last week.
Brandon tells slice of life stories in sci-fi fantasy worlds better than anyone I can think of.  His comics are so full of life.  People are always reading, eating, screwing and arguing.  Just living! Sadly,  I haven't read the issue of Multiple Warheads that this sequence comes from.  Dealing with my own crap took me away from Brandon's work during a particularly important and prolific era of his career.  But I will be correcting that.  I will definitely get caught up on my Brandon Graham reading in 2018, and if it seems like anyone is interested, I will share my observations here.

Anyways, be safe out there, and have a great new year!

Samax Amen is a professional Content Developer, Illustrator and Cartoonist. He is the artist of many great comics you never heard of like Herman Heed, Champion of Children, The Brother and The World As You Know It. He even writes and draws his own comics, like Dare: The Adventures of Darius Davidson, Spontaneous, and Manchild when he gets around to it. Because making comics is hard and stuff, he started GhettoManga as a blog in 2006 and as a print magazine in 2008.
