Inspiring kids to own their power via another Black Panther live art piece

I was proud and happy to create art live at an assembly serving the students and staff at Burnett Elementary in Dallas.

I've worked with most of these people before, and a common theme that runs through their work in the community is empowering, inspiring and encouraging young people.  Good teachers share that vision, so working with the incredible educators at Burnett Elementary was like discovering long-lost family.
Every one on our team brings a different skill set and energy. In this video Alejandro demonstrates his power through his mastery of his own body.

Before I forget, here's the final drawing!
(special thanks to Michael Lagocki, for taking a pic of my final piece)

While I'm in gratitude mode, I'm extra thankful for the opportunity to be able to be of service with my art.  Organizations like ArtLoveMagic, Journeyman Ink, Big Thought and others make it possible for artists like me to translate talent and heart into impact in our communities!  I'm so glad to be of service!

Samax Amen is a professional Content Developer, Illustrator and Cartoonist. He is the artist of many great comics you never heard of like Herman Heed, Champion of Children, The Brother and The World As You Know It. He even writes and draws his own comics, like Dare: The Adventures of Darius Davidson, Spontaneous, and Manchild when he gets around to it. Because making comics is hard and stuff, he started GhettoManga as a blog in 2006 and as a print magazine in 2008.
