THE SHEEPLE'S CHAMP, a comic strip by Samax Amen

I drew this comic today inspired by a Facebook messenger conversation I had with Jason Corrigan, one of the Sunday Funnies subscribers who won the weekly FREE COMIC STRIP contest last week.  During the convo, Jason asked me about drawing a tattoo design based on the concept of "a sheep in wolf's clothing"... It was an interesting reversal of a well-known concept.

So when he won the contest, I couldn't resist making a quick comic strip expanding on the idea.  It's obvious why a wolf would disguise itself as a sheep, but why would a sheep do likewise?

As a defense mechanism.

Our skin (as well as our clothes, and many other aspects of our appearance) acts as a first line of defense against the world's hazards.  In fact, much of our behavior is constructed to protect ourselves from threats both real and imagined.  Anyone who knows much about psychology knows that sometimes the defenses we cook up do as much harm as good.

In this strip, I tried to make it funny.  So let me know what you think.  If the response is favorable, you might see The Sheeple's Champ again.

Have great day!
