I'm a big fan of independent cartoonist M. Rasheed (Monsters 101, Weapon of the People, The Destroyer).  A devout Muslim, intellectual and culture critic, his most inspiring quality is his belief in the transformational power of cartooning.  It looks like he is doing a series of comic strips for Inktober this year.

Samax Amen is a professional Content Developer, Illustrator and Cartoonist. He is the artist of many great comics you never heard of like Herman Heed, Champion of Children, The Brother and The World As You Know It.
