Check out this brief review of EVENT LEVIATHAN by Brian Michael Bendis and Alex Maleev (Daredevil)

Hard as a brick.
This was great.
Brian Michael Bendis and Alex Maleev on a DC Comics miniseries.
It’s a mystery story, starring the best detectives in the DC Universe.
Batman assembles them to chase down a worldwide threat uncovered by reporter Lois Lane.
Books like this are why I love Bendis. He and Maleev always seem to just click together. They have this Michael Mann kind of vibe, with sharp back and forth dialog that reveals a ton about the characters.

Not all artists know how to handle that kind of writing and the different panel beats it takes to make it work. Maleev is among the very best at it. Plus his art and compositions are beautiful. He colors this thing too. Just incredible work.

Issue 2 of 6 just came out yesterday. Your local comic shop will likely have them both. Be forewarned, if you don’t read a lot of comics, this one might baffle you with all the different character references.

But if you’re a DCU fan, or someone who geeks out at a good appearance of The Question, then strap in.
