That dude Jason Reeves of 133Art dropped this Pharrell Williams/Jay-Z video Entrepreneur on my timeline yesterday, so I had to share.

I don't know why Jay-Z finally decided to be the KRS ONE of the 21st Century, but I'm grateful he did.  Without trying very hard, Jay-Z can inspire us out of a lot.

I cannot claim to be a huge fan of Pharrell Williams, but because Jason Reeves shared this video, I gave it a spin.  Again, I'm grateful I did.  As much as people say to me that my work (with GhettoManga, in comics, in freelancing, or whatever) has inspired them, Jason inspires me all the time.

Jason's art is amazing. He could probably get by just by drawing, but he has his hands in every level of comics from writing to publishing, printing, and distribution.  I expect to hear that he bought a comicbook megastore, a fleet of bookmobiles or some other aspect of the business that I haven't thought of any day now.

Whatever he decides to do with it, Jason will probably use it to provide opportunity for other black creators, as I have been watching him do for years.

If his social media feeds can be believed, he is an amazing husband, father, and friend.  I wanna be just like him when I grow up.

Because I (like Jason, Pharrell, and Jay-Z) am an entrepreneur.

Times can be tough for entrepreneurs.  It can be lonely. People around you won't always believe in you.  You will make a lot of mistakes.  Nevertheless, do yourself and the world a favor.

Don't give up.

peace.
