Mike Hawthorne Talks conventions, His new memoir, Spidey influences, Deapool, and more

"I came full circle: From not being able to get gigs because I wasn't good enough, to not being able to get gigs because I was too good."
-Mike Hawthorne

Mike Hawthorne (Superior Spiderman, ) is one of the nicest dudes you will ever encounter, and one of the rising stars in comics.
Here's an incredible interview he did with Leonard Sultana of An Englishman In San Diego.

The sales pitch:
Artist Mike Hawthorne has established himself as an artist of quality and distinction, with credits on the likes of DEADPOOL, G.I. JOE ORIGINS, CONAN: ROAD OF KINGS and his own creator-owned title, HYSTERIA. For 2020, Mike embarks on a new project, a graphic memoir called HAPPINESS WILL FOLLOW; we have been afforded a cracking opportunity to talk to Mike about the book and how the fractured situation of this singularly momentous year has affected his feelings on the project and his work. TALKIN' CON: A CUP O' TEA with AN ENGLISHMAN IN SAN DIEGO A bi-weekly livestream, hosted by Leonard Sultana, talking comic conventions, con culture and pop culture - LIVE Sundays, 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm GMT Featuring Special Guests, spotlight features, community chat and convention news updates Subscribe, Like and Turn On Notifications at www.youtube.com/EnglishmanSDCC www.theconventioncollective.com/anenglishmaninsandiego
