Insomniac Rap Show- A few throwbacks

Welcome to The Insomniac Rap Show, where I share YouTube videos until I get sleepy.

Let's start with my favorite Joell Ortiz song:

Next, I figured I'd drop this Ski Beatz posse cut Prowler 2, which finds Joell joined by Jean Grae, Mos Def, and Jay Electronica.  This song is a rarity in that everyone goes as hard as humanly possible.  I distinctly remember being very hungry for that new Mos Def verse.  It was also when I was became elated just seeing Jay Elect's name on the features.

Prowler 2 (Off Ski's 24 Hour Karate School) also came out at a high point of my infatuation with Jean Grae, one of my favorite rhymers.  

When Grae was on Kweli's Blacksmith label they did this joint RIP (Rock In the Pocket), which features Styles P from the LOX.  I been thinking about this song a lot lately due to the LOX murked Dipset in the Versuz show.
