Coming Soon- "CHEW: BAD APPLES" Trade Paperback

If you're one of the people who tradewaits* for CHEW- the balls-out sci-fi action comedy starring Tony Chu, a federal agent that gets psychic impressions from anything he eats- you're in luck! Because CHEW Volume 7: BAD APPLES drops in just a few short weeks.

Here's the Sales pitch:
Presenting a new storyline of the New York Times Bestselling, Harvey and multiple Eisner Award-winning series about cops, crooks, cooks, cannibals, and clairvoyants. Tony Chu - the cibopathic federal agent with the ability to get psychic impressions from what he eats - is back in action, just in time to face a cult of egg-worshipping terrorists who've declared holy war on the chicken-eaters of the world. Collects CHEW # 31-35.

I would say CHEW was my favorite comic right now, if I was buying enough comics for there to be a competition (which I'm not). In case you've never read it before, in the CHEWniverse, there was a long-standing ban on eating poultry, thanks to a bird-flu pandemic. Tony Chu and his colleagues in the FDA (and their "sister" organization, the USDA) had broad authority to enforce the poultry prohibition, and Tony's psychic powers were a tool he used to solve the cases other agents couldn't crack. Of course, while Tony's powers are rare in the world of CHEW, they are far from unique, and by now characters with all manner of food-based abilities have been revealed. As we see in this preview, there are good and bad guys with special food-skills. And they are not shy about using them!

If all this seems hella weird, it's because it is. But trust me: It's awesome! If you wanna check it out, I suggest starting with Chew Volume 1: Tasters Choice, but if you're caught up, get at your comic shop for the new joint, or click here to preorder Chew: Bad Apples on Amazon, or if you hate Amazon, get it from TFAW instead. Pre-ordering will save you a little bread, but you gotta be quick: Bad Apples drops the first week of September!
