Happy Birthday Wesley Snipes!

All of us here at GhettoManga want to wish a hearty happy born day to the mighty Wesley Trent Snipes who was born on July 31, 1962. Snipes is an accomplished movie star, producer and martial artist, using all three skills to help return the super hero movie genre to prominence with the ground-breaking Blade franchise. If Blade was all Snipes ever did, it would land him in the freaking GhettoManga Hall of Fame (if there was such a thing), but he has also starred in classic joints like Wildcats, Demolition Man, White Men Can't Jump, Mo' Better Blues and New Jack City, as well as tons of other films in just about every genre.
After a run in with the IRS that earned him three years in federal prison, Snipes has returned to film with a role in Expendables 3. Now that the superhero movie thing is on full burn, I hope Snipes will have a hand (whether in front of or behind the camera) in bringing more black superheros to the screen. We at GhettoManga can't say enough about the impact that Snipes' role as producer and star of Blade had in paving the way for the superhero movie renaissance. Real recognize real, seen?
Anyways, I drew this a while ago, and when I found out it was Wesley's birthday today, I could not resist coloring it to celebrate! Hope you like it!

Peace,
-samax
Samax Amen draws people, places and things for fun and profit. He is the artist of many great comics you never heard of like Herman Heed, Champion of Children, The Brother and The World As You Know It. He even writes and draws his own comics, like Dare: The Adventures of Darius Davidson, Spontaneous, and Manchild when he gets around to it. Because making comics is hard and stuff, he started GhettoManga as a blog in 2006 and as a print magazine in 2008.
