Samax drops a Live BLACK PANTHER drawing for DaVerse Lounge

I got called in at the last minute to contribute live art for DaVerse Lounge on Friday night...

Big Thought sponsors the periodical teen poetry powered event, and their new president is a HUGE Black Panther fan who grew up on the comics, so I was brought in to hook up a Panther-themed live art piece to be gifted to him.  This time I was in the DJ room again, surrounded by kids and teens freestyling and dancing as I drew T'Challa flanked by the Adored Ones.
All I see when I look at a piece like this is the things I want to change, but drawing an unplanned piece live surrounded by unbridled jubilant chaos is different than drawing in the controlled environment of the studio.  So the measure of success is different. So I'm happy with it, but I was glad to let the client have it.  And he was happy with it.  Of course the kids went bananas for it.

It was a really fun show! Hope you enjoy the drawing.

Peace,
-Samax
