ya hear THAT, ya slobs: I'm FAMOUS!

If you've been with me a while, you may already know that I'm featured in the upcoming book Black Comix: African American Independent Comics, Art and Culture by underground comics dudes Damian Duffy and John Jennings (The Hole: Consumer Culture). I had no idea that my drawing of Maddy from Champion of Children would make it onto the cover of that joint, until my dude Vee of ScritchAndScratch.com put me on!
I remember doing the interviews via email, having several very pleasant conversations with John, who purchased comics and magazines from me, and just being honored to be included. It is a whole next level kick in the pants to have my artwork on the same cover with cats like Dawud, Jamar, Arie, Fonzie Davis, Mase,  Mshindo, etc... just being in the book is awesome, but being on the cover is mind-blowing! I would say I'm speechless, but that's obviously not exactly true...
Anyways, Black Comix: African American Independent Comics, Art and Culture drops July 6th from Mark Batty Publisher. To preorder it on Amazon.com right now, click here!
