Hey fam, Have you ever wanted to be a superhero or villain? I created an opportunity for fans to become a character in my client's comic book universe, and we got a few takers. As I'm wrapping up the book design on THE MELANITES #3: Slay Day, one of the last stages is finishing these character designs for fans who chose to BECOME A MELANITE on the Kickstarter campaigns.  I finished coloring this one yesterday. Catriarch by Samax Amen, with Carla Browning ©2022+ The Melanites Comics LLC This is Catriarch, a character I created for The Melanites based on Carla Browning, a self-professed "crazy cat lady" who works as a personal trainer and wellness coach that always wears mismatched socks.  Carla wanted to be a character who walks the line between hero, anti-hero, and villain with good intentions.  Which is perfect for the universe of The Melanites! The name Catriarch is an amalgam of the words Cat + Matriarch.  (Amalgam names is just one of the naming conventions I use to create new characters fast).
