Took this picture Saturday at Alamo City Comic Con in San Antonio. I drew this Ghost Rider/ Wu-tang joint at my table just to be doing it, so of course somebody wanted to buy it, so the Spirit of Vengeance found a happy home. Anyways, I was at the show pushing BiGS, the comic I worked on for Upchuck Comics. The fine folks at Upchuck paid for me to attend the con, and I had a BLAST! Here's the cover and some pages from issue 3, the one I drew.
BiGS takes place in a near-future where climate change and other factors have triggered a mutation that causes a new subspecies of humans that grow to upwards of ten feet tall. Though immense in size, these giants ("bigs") suffer from many health issues, require daily medications to survive, and are treated as second class citizens around the world.
BiGS follows Nate, a big who doesn't take the dailies. Nate's superior strength and speed make him a viral internet sensation when he saves some coworkers from a deep sea oil rig accident. In an effort to cover their own interests, unscrupulous oil and pharmaceutical execs deploy their resources to frame and assassinate Nate and his friend Thad.
In this issue our heroes are on the run and branded as terrorists. Thad still needs his dailies, so they try to score some at a drug house and run afoul of a horrifying thug named Rollin.
Yeah... it's bad.
