I always referred to anime as Soap Operas for boys, so it was refreshing to hear Cristal make the connection between anime and telenovelas.  As a dude who used to eat lunch watching Days of Our Lives and dinner watching Dragonball Z, I always felt the similarities between Frieza and Stefano Dimera.
