It's ULTRON Vs EVERYBODY In This Week's Episode of WHAT IF...?

This week's episode of What If...? starts with the Avengers failing to stop Ultron from reaching his final form, setting up a chain of events that transforms the genocidal A.I. into a threat of cosmic and even multiversal proportions.

Armed with the Mindstone and the vibranium body that became the Vision in Age of Ultron, this Ultron is nigh unstoppable, making short work of the most powerful heroes and villains the MCU has to offer on his way to bringing order to the universe.

When he discovers Uatu the Watcher and the existence of the Multiverse, the whole nature of the WHAT IF...? series changes.  

Like LOKI before it, WHAT IF...? looks to elevates cosmic crisis to a new high water mark in the Marvel Cinematic Multiverse.  Far from being something to fill the days between Covid-delayed theatrical releases, the Disney+ Marvel shows are doing a lot of the work to carry us into the next wave of  stories with obvious implications for the slate of films on the horizon.
