In the Pipeline...

okay, so i've been outta pocket for a couple days, but now i'm back!

i'm currently working on a ceedee cover art for Beat Rabbi (austin resident, for the record...) of my favorite underground hip hop supergroup Deepspace 5 (which has more than five members, but i'm not EVEN about to get into that...).

the inter-state crew includes three of my top ten emcees, dallas's own Sivion and Playdough (as well as his partner-in-rhyme Freddie Bruno) of Phoenetic Composition, Mars Ill (from atl), along with a host of other bonafide rap cats from parts north, east and west...

as a welcome side-effect to the assignment i got pre-mix copies of the songsfor the new joint (entitled Deepspace 5oul)... pretty freakin' fresh i must say! as he is paying me for the assignment (a rarity for undergrounders), i will not put any unauthorized cuts on here... however, as soon as the label clears it, i will post some songs here! for now, go to the ds5 website and sample their junk...

K104 supports Dallas Hip Hop?

it's time for nyukkas to put their money where their mouths are...

local radio station K104 has finally decided to do a weekly radio show dedicated to local hip hop artists...

all you emcees, crews or whatever need to take your ceedees down to them on Mondays (media day) between 10am and Noon. They WANT to rock your demo! so get down there and turn in your Ish! It's best to give 'em instrumentals with 'em for blending and voice overs, Heard?

okay, so i went to see my man marcus, aka dj Nature at the Rubber Gloves in denton last night...
it's one of those Charming little hole in the wall clubs... Nature is the realest, dog.

let's see, he played dipset, d.Marley, and a slew of stuff i never heard before...

the rubber gloves sets he does (called "The Party") are growing in popularity... come out while you can still get in (like i said, rubber gloves ain't that big...)
