Everybody knows I freaking heart master comicbook monster maker James Stokoe, so I won't waste time talking about it, let's just peep this preview of Godzilla: Half-Century War...

"Sullivan's Sluggers" Wraparound cover, Baseball Cards, and more preview art

If you're one of the three or four people in the universe that didn't back Mark Andrew Smith and James Stokoe's limited-edition baseball horror graphic novel Sullivan's Sluggers, you probably don't care about the front and back cover art (above) or any of the other preview art I posted below. But I'm showing it anyways, because I'm excited and stuff...

PREVIEW- "GODZILLA:THE HALF CENTURY WAR" by James Stokoe

For all the James Stokoe fans out there, I just got a few pages from his upcoming IDW Godzilla comic, The Half Century War, as well as some pages from his creator-owned book, Orc Stain, which has slowed down lately. At least now I know why...

KICKSTART THIS- "Sullivan's Sluggers" by Mark Andrew Smith & James Stokoe

Unlike our's, Mark Andrew Smith and James Stokoe's Kickstarter campaign  for their baseball horror graphic novel Sullivan's Sluggers doesn't need you. Sure, when I checked the link for it and put in my little $30 pledge, they had already raised something like 450 bucks of their $6,000 goal. By the time I got home from work, got my three year old fed, bathed and in the bed and sat down at my computer to drop this blog about it, it was at over $16,000 (a little less than three times the goal for those keeping score at home). So I know they don't need me to promote it, or you to pledge on it. But what the hell? Let's do it anyways...

Stokoe's working on a "Wanton Soup" Spinoff?

That dude James Stokoe (Orc Stain, Wonton Soup) had a grip of Wonton Soup: War pages completed, but the book is not likely to be seen anytime soon, so he dropped it on the internet, 'cause that's how he rolls

James Stokoe's Orc Stain Volume 1 Drops tomorrow!

If you've been trade-waiting on James Stokoe's phallus-centric fantasy comic Orc Stain, then you are in luck my friend, because his gronch-infested fantasy epic Orc Stain Volume 1 drops tomorrow. Here's a preview of the first full chapter!

unpublished "Orc Stain" pages

As I mentioned in a previous post, that dude James Stokoe is putting together extras for the Orc Stain TPB*, and has been leaking some of the goodies (including the cover shown here). I figured I would also share these unpublished story pages from Longscar's Heat, (a story he said will NOT appear in the book), because I'm such a nice guy...

PREVIEWS: Silver Surfer and Orc Stain TPB by James Stokoe

Peep some hyper-detailed Galactus and Silver Surfer art by James Stokoe (of the mighty Meathaus collective), who has a five pager in Marvel's Strange Tales II #3. I've been checking this dude out for a minute. He takes detailed art to an almost masochistic level. I bet he gets hand-cramps like you wouldn't believe...

Wonton Soup...FREE 19 Page PREVIEW!

underground phenom James Stokoe returns with Wonton Soup vol 2! the first volume blew me away, and it looks like Stokes is swingin' for the fences again on this one! here's the sales pitch:
Johnny Boyo could have had it all. As one of the premiere chefs in the galaxy, Johnny's culinary skills could have made him a star. So, with everything he ever dreamed of for the taking, why would Johnny leave it all behind to become a space trucker? Not even Citrus Watts, the girl he left behind, knows for sure. But now that Johnny's returned to the kitchen once more to save all that he holds dear, does that mean he's back in his apron for good, or is the allure of the open space lanes too much for his trucker heart to take?

Stokoe brings manga-style storytelling and indie-comix spontaneity to this action-comedy-sci-fi-cooking joint! click the pic for an issue-length preview! both volumes of Wonton Soup are available in comic shops or on Amazon.com now! most definitely a begBorrowSteal item that you should get by any means necessary!

holla!
