DAMION SCOTT takes over art chores on ALL NEW GHOST RIDER!! (((airhorn)))

I had no idea that Damion Scott and Robert Campanella were the new art team on ALL NEW GHOST RIDER but it looks like they did. Last month's cover (above) was done by series co-creator Tradd Moore, but check out the interiors to this and the new issue below, by Scott and Campanella.

Preview ALL NEW GHOST RIDER #4

Felipe Smith and Tradd Moore continue to hold it down like oppression in this latest preview of Marvel's street-racing inspired relaunch of Ghost Rider.

Preview art- ALL NEW GHOST RIDER #1 & 2!!!

We've been getting a mixed reaction to Marvel's impending release All-New Ghost Rider by Felipe Smith and Tradd Moore, ranging from "Muscle car instead of motor cycle: No bueno" to "fugg yeah." Peep some previews of Tradd Moore's pages (plus variant covers by Felipe Smith, Skottie Young, and more) below and make up your own mind...

What are your thoughts on Felipe Smiith and Tradd Moore's ALL NEW GHOST RIDER designs?

Here's a shiteload of pre-production art for Felipe Smith and Tradd Moore's upcoming All New Ghost Rider comic. Besides the fact that his civilian persona Robbie Reyes is obviously based on my west-coast homie and GhettoManga contributor Eric M. Esquivel (Blackest Terror, Thor:Unkillable Thunderchrist, FREELANCERS, Loki: Ragnarok and Roll), what do you think of the direction the latest incarnation of Marvel's revanent road warrior?

Felipe Smith and Tradd Moore BOTH drew covers for their new "Ghost Rider" debut

So we are pretty psyched for the new Ghost Rider comic written by the mighty Felipe Smith, but we aint forgot he's got mad drawing chops, too! He pulled out a new style for this variant cover, and it looks pretty dope. For more fire, peep the regular cover by series artist Tradd Moore (Luther Strode) below...

Marvel announces projects with Felipe Smith, Tradd Moore, and Mike Allred at NYCC

Much ado was made in the nineties when Marvel Comics' biggest names revolted and founded Image Comics, signaling what many consider the high point for creator's rights and independent comics in America. In the Joe Quesada era, Marvel has reversed their fortunes by turning indie comics (especially Image) into a farm league for new talent. The good times continue to roll for the House of Mouse Ideas, as evidenced by these new books announced at New York Comic Con...

Raven stars in 5-issue mini

Teen Titans mainstay, the dark and mysterious Raven, is getting her own book written by her creator Marv Wolfman with ghettoManga fave artist Damion Scott on pencils. as Raven attempts to live a relatively normal life as high-schooler Rachel Roth, she is tormented by a vision of one of her classmates being killed by a sniper. unable to dismiss it as a simple dream, she has five days to determine the identity of both the killer and victim.

I'm not sure how familiar one needs to be with Titans continuity to follow the series, but i HAD to pick up this book, since i haven't seen Damion Scott for a while... he is inked here by frequent co-pilot Robert Campanella, and is still growing into the hip, bubblegum style that makes him a good pick to draw teen heroes (he cut his teeth on Batgirl and Robin, as well as Spiderman), but i'm not sure how it'll work with a darker character like raven, but we'll see...

How to draw HipHop by Damion Scott

Damion Scott, definitely one of my favorite young comic book artists, has illustrated a new book about hip hop cartooning called How to Draw Hip Hop published by Watson-Guptill. the book is written by Kris Ex, a noteworthy brooklyn journalist who has written for Rolling Stone, Blender, Vibe, XXL, Hip-Hop Connection, and many other publications.

i haven't read it yet, but based on D.Scott's breakthrough work on Batgirl and Spectacular Spiderman, i would recommend copping this book, sight unseen.
If i can get my hands on a copy (and my birthday IS coming up,hint hint!), i will be happy to supply you guys with a more comprehensive review.

holla!
samax.
