A couple preview pages from the next issue of Genndy Tartakovsky's CAGE!

So Genndy Tartakovsky's doing that thing he does with Power Man in the second issue of CAGE! Here's a couple pages I snatched from the internets...

The upcoming Genndy Tartakovsky comic CAGE points to serious opportunity for MARVEL

Y'all already know we love Blaxploitation era Marvel super hero LUKE CAGE (we did a tribute issue of the magazine dedicated to him after all...).  We also fux with visionary animation heavyweight Genndy Tartakovsky (Samurai Jack, Dexter's Laboratory).  So rocking with this new miniseries CAGE is a no-brainer...

The Secret Origin of JOHN SHAFT begins HERE!!! or... Preview SHAFT #1 by @DavidWalker1201 and @BilquisEvely

We've all been chomping at the bit waiting on Dynamite's new SHAFT series by indie phenom David F. Walker (BadAzzMofo, Super Justice Force, Number 13) for a minute, so I'm fired up to show you this preview, which includes a gang of variant covers and sweet as folk interior art by Bilquis Evely, who I'm sure will be a household name before you know it...

#yesReally- BO, PLUSHY GANGSTA: KINGDOM OF BO Trade Paperback published by @ActionLab

I saw an issue of post-hip hop blaxploitation comic BO, PLUSHY GANGSTA the last time I went to the comic shop, but I forgot to write about it when I got home, so I'm glad I ran across this preview art for the trade paperback today...

And now, we're excited to see that they've taken the comic over to IDW for a brand new #1, with that dude Ron Wimberly making nice on pencils. Peep...

Kevin Killebrew's short film "A Killer Surprise" gets a 10 on my WTFometer...

I am at a loss as to how I should lead into A Killer Surprise, this short film written, directed and produced by video game voice actor Kevin Killebrew, so I will just say that it is hands-down the weirdest shit I have watched on Youtube in a long time. Maybe ever...

What do you think of Vertigo's Django Comic?

Some of the spirited debate surrounding Tarantino's ultraviolent blaxploitation/spaghetti western Django Unchainedhas died down, but thankfully DC/Vertigo is keeping the party going by publishing an adaptation of Tarantino's original screenplay for the slavery era shoot-em-up. Here's some pages from issue 3, which is in stores already...

#nowPlaying "WHOOP ASS" by Oh No f/Sticky Fingaz

If you can look at the cover to Oh No's new plate OhNomite and not want to buy it on sight, well... I can't be your friend anymore. Don't take it too hard, but if this cover art by Charles Munka (art direction by the mighty Jeff Jank) doesn't make you wanna buy this record... you know, put ACTUAL MONEY down for it... then we have nothing in common. This relationship's not going anywhere, so it's best that we part ways now. No hard feelings...

VIDEO: BLACK DYNAMITE PANEL from SDCC

Feast your eyes on the people that get paid to make folks mad on the large and small screens with their blaxploitation sensation Black Dynamite. There's 22 and a half minutes of panel, about 6 minutes of which is the introductions. But they're pretty funny too, so peep...
