Yeah, I know... being the first kid on the block to receive a copy of GhettoManga Quarterly should be its own reward, but I want to give people as much bang for the buck as I possibly can. Then it hit me! Everyone likes free comics, right?

For once, the rumors are true. There is definitely a short Michael Jackson comic (by that dude Howard Russell) in the next issue of GhettoManga Quarterly, which is under construction right now... I'm also looking to include fan art of other celebrities as undead creatures, so sharpen your pencils, fire up your cyntiq, and get to work...

My wife's evil preteen sister is in town  for her yearly visit, this time for a whole month. So, as you might imagine (especially if you knew her), I'm in the mood to draw some violence against a child! Luckily for me (and her), I'm still finishing up chapter 2 of MANCHILD: Birthday Boy for the summer issue of GhettoManga Quarterly.

Happy Cinco De Mayo, fam! As my long-time readers know, I'm in full geek mode for the Robert Rodriguez splatterfest Machete starring Danny Trejo. So much so that upon hearing that the Grindhouse mock trailer was being made into a real movie with a star-studded b-list cast (peep the new trailer below), I went out and drew this picture of Trejo as Machete.

I am super excited to report that after much persuasion and cajoling, that dude Brock Rizy (Emily Edison, Catbear Traffic Control) has agreed to drop a full color episode of his super-offensive sci-fi-action-comedy-superhero-toon smash Pyrotechnic Porno Babies in GhettoManga Quarterly, as well as to be at my beck and call for illustrative slavery. Okay, I'm exaggerating there, but only because I'm excited...

A Valentine-Themed Preview

If you read the fall issue of ghettoManga Quarterly, you got a look at underground cartoonist and muralist Kristoffer aka STAUFFA outta Pittsburgh. If you enjoyed the first chapter of his super-hero sci-fi joint Return To Krossepta, you're gonna LOVE what he's got cooking for the Spring issue! Here's an inked panel from the preview page he sent me this week... and after talking to him on the phone yesterday, I can tell you he's really excited about the new stuff (and you should be too)!
