A nice MF DOOM radio interview, plus... Is this dude in the UK passing my art off as his own?
My dude Khalid Latif aka BigSteelo aka Worldwide McBride aka Singabore Rhymes with Zsa Zsa Gabor posted this MF DOOM interview below, and I decided to share it. So as I was searching for a DOOM picture to include with this post, I found a pic where some dude swiped my drawing (above) and colored it (badly) and is passing it off as his own... even selling prints of it.

PREVIEW- "Champion of Children Vol1: I'm Known as the Champ"
For those who have never read it, Champion of Children is about kid superheroes (because kid villains have to be stopped by kid heroes, right?). The greatest kid hero at any given time inherits the title "Champion of Children" along with the requisite privileges and responsibilities. The current Champion of Children is 5 year old martial arts powered hero Li'l Madd Skillz, but this particular short story Da Old School stars her big brother Junior Raw, and his friend Smash Boogie (whose name I only learned after drawing this story, by the way). To help promote our Kickstarter campaign, Champ co-creator and writer Corance Davis has empowered me to offer Da Old School in its entirety...

Star Wars v. Star Trek!
khalid sent me this... had me DYING!!!
you KNOW the STEELO...
back in May, my main man (and ghostWerks bredren) Khalid, aka bigSteelo was at my crib, and i said "When you get home, pick up all the drawings you got layin' around on the floor, scan them joints and make a book called Off The Floor..."apparently, a light went off! because the next day, khalid had an album on his mySpace with that name, which he told me later that day would IN FACT be the name of his new book! family! don't let the fact the Khalid and i go back like Sara Palin and Klan rallies dissuade you from copping this joint! i kid you not, Khalid has more dope artwork laying around on the f@#&in' floor than most artists generate in a year with an endless supply of redbulls!
anyways, Off The Floor dropped last august, but i was so busy getting ready for my daughter to come, i forgot to tell you! anyways, not to overstate it, but it's one of the best sketchbooks i've ever seen! it's over 100 pages of comics, illustrations and head-scratching sketches in a wrap-around cover, sealed with a well-placed punch in the eye! if you have a collection of art books (or you wanna start one!) you NEED this joint in your life cousin! you can click any pic in this post to go buy that joint at Lulu.com for 30 bucks!
COP IT!
holla!

One Man's Clutter...
some artists have a tendency to hide their light under a bushel. case in point, my main man (and ghostWerks bredren) Khalid, aka bigSteelo... we've been harassing Khalid to put out one'a these high-falootin' art books for years! he was at my crib recently, and i said "When you get home, pick up all the drawings you got layin' around on the floor, scan them joints and make a book called Off The Floor..."apparently, a light went off! because the next day, khalid had an album on his mySpace with that name, which he told me later that day would IN FACT be the name of his new book! family! don't let the fact the Khalid and i go back like rednecks and Klan rallies dissuade you from copping this when it drops! i kid you not, Khalid has more dope artwork laying around on the f@#&in' floor than most artists generate in a year with an endless supply of redbulls!
anyways, Off The Floor will definitely be available by early august, but the MINUTE that it becomes available for purchase, i will let you know... a'ight?
holla!
