PREVIEW: Blade: Curse of the Mutants One-Shot

I Just spotted this dope preview on CBR... apparently, Marvel has a new X-men crossover going on, where vampires are running up on the world/s remaining mutants? I wouldn't care, but the resultant fallout is this ILL looking Blade One-shot. here's the sales pitch:
Someone… something… is killing vampire slayers all over the world. Blade, the biggest, baddest slayer of them all, gathers an emergency assault team to blitz the bloodsucker underground and force answers out of whoever’s not reduced to a pile of smoking ash. But Blade’s not going to like what he hears. A new dawn is rising for the vampire nation. The rules are about to be rewritten, and Blade’s about to go to fang-to-fang with a new threat he knows he can’t fight alone…
sounds tight, huh? peep the preview below...

Blacklist digs up the KING!

If you're looking for a new comic to check out this week that will crack you up and push your weird-shit-ometer into the red, you pro'lly wanna pick up Blacklist Studios' new book KING! Which stars a dude who bears a striking resemblance to everybody's favorite so-called King of Rock and Roll. But when this cat gets recognized In bars and cheap motels, it's not cause they think he's the dead rock icon, it's because he's a washed up pro-wrestler-turned monster killer for hire... So it's understandable that he doesn't like to be recognized.

Okay, I have been pretty strict about not buying any $4 comics, but those silly sons'a guns at Marvel are just so DEVIOUS!!!! Putting Silver Sable and the Shroud in the same comic may have been enough to make me do a double take, but then they went and put MISTY KNIGHT in there, too? BASTARDS!!! why don't you guys read the sales pitch and preview pages of Shadowland: Blood on the Streets #1 that I gaffled from CBR, while I check for change in the couch...

I'm not exactly sure why Marvel has such a hard time with Blade. Seems to me, all they need to do is make people watch the trio of films headlined by the Wu-tang-inspired Wesley Snipes (although that last one makes me dry heave, but I won't go there...) and copy what they see. Easy. Whatever the case, perhaps they will finally get it right THIS time, as they're taking another go at it with the 6 part story arc Blade Versus The Avengers over on Ultimate Avengers 3... but I'm not holding my breath.

PREVIEW: Murderland #1 (set in Baltimore, MD)

take a look at what looks like a well-executed crime comic set in Baltimore. The preview I posted below is very well-written and drawn, so I'm looking forward to getting a chance to read more! Here's the sales pitch:

BITE CLUB, RED HERRING) joins newcomer STEPHEN SCOTT to tell a story of doomed romance, bloodshed and the outer limits of human potential, all unfolding on the “complicated” streets of Baltimore, Maryland. The Arabber is a reformed killer bent on bringing peace to his hometown. Method is his lover and partner in crime, but she may not be long for The Arabber’s crusade. The first of many genre-bending stories in the MURDERLAND universe.

Now that Jamar Nicholas has finished drawing Fist Stick Knife Gun, it looks like he has time for the little people again! To that end, he's fired up his awesome blog devoted to plus-sized Wonder Woman fan art, BBWW.
