How to Become a Super-Villain #1

Since we have a super-villain in the White House, you might be thinking that becoming a super-villain is a fast-track to success.  While we at GhettoManga don't recommend succumbing to your most evil nature, we would prefer that you do it safely, if you choose to do it.  So here's the first in a series of How to Become a Super-Villain threads we will be dropping at random.

Comic Book World - Fantastic Shape Shifting Beasts and Where to Find Them

The bad news is there are invertebrate multi-brained shape-shifting predators on Earth hiding in plain sight.  The good news is they can't survive in our atmosphere for very long.

ComicBook World- Teacher Hypnotizes Students as Part of his "Master Plan"

FAM!  You are not gonna believe this!  According to Pennsylvania state police, elementary school teacher James Mentzer got caught in his "master plan" to enslave at least five girls (ages 8-11) with hypnotic suggestion!

Comicbook World #79- FISH BOSS

My dude Michael shared some video of a fish driving an aquarium yesterday on the GhettoManga Facebook page, and I knew that my heart would not be settled until I drew it.  So it's today's Daily Sketch.

Alexa is stealing hearts up in this piece... #robophobic

Every time I turn around lately, someone is telling a cute little story about Alexa, America's favorite personification of Amazon since Gal Gadot...

A Handy Dandy Guide for our friends in Open Carry States

Open Carry by
This one-page comic by the Houston-based cartoonist had me dying so I had to share it.  I am not in favor of the upgrade from Concealed Weapons permits to Open Carry laws, which allow people to proudly rock their shootin' irons in public, but I am not really alarmed by them, either...

Robophobic #22 - Cyborg Cockroaches to the Rescue?

This engineer on The Takeaway podcast insists that science can't make insect-sized robots to take on missions that require itty bitty remote-controlled automatons (yet). Unfortunately, I still won't be sleeping at night, 'cause they're building cyborg cockroaches to get the dirty little jobs done instead...

Phoenix Jones, the Rain City Superheroes & Josh Boulet VS the End of the World

Phoenix Jones and the Rain City Superhero Movement took to the streets of Seattle to help maintain order in case any Mayan Calendar-inspired riots or hysteria popped off. Our buddy Joshua Boulet rolled with the costumed activists once more, sketchbook in hand, to document the evening's action...

#screamPhoenix- "Sketch the World" meets "Rain City Superhero Movement"

That dude Josh Boulet (Green Reefer, Draw Occupy Wall Street, B-Girls vs D-Grrls, The Wrong Night in Texas) beat me to it. With Black Book #23 and drawing tools in hand, Josh rolled with costumed activist Phoenix Jones and the rest of the Rain City Superhero Movement...

Scream Phoenix #3- Phoenix Jones KNOCKS a motherf*cker OUT while cops WATCH

Apparently, in Washington it is perfectly legal to fight as long as both combatants agree. So this dude picks a fight with Rain City Superhero Movement point-man Phoenix Jones, and well...

Comicbook World #68- This animal can survive in the vacuum of SPACE!

People often ask me where I get the ideas for my comics. The answer is real life of course! If you need inspiration for alien creatures, giant monsters or denizens of the deepest pits of hell, just go to your friendly neighborhood science website...

Comicbook World #67- Warp Drive technology is now "Plausible and worth further investigation..."

THE CARRIER
One of the things that makes science fiction awesome is aliens. Traveling to alien worlds- or having aliens come to Earth- would require faster-than-light travel, which is virtually impossible in the non-fictional universe we inhabit. The warp drive engine, a cornerstone of  space science-fiction, uses a cheat code built into the laws of physics. See, no object within the space-time continuum can travel faster than light, BUT there's nothing to say that space-time ITSELF can't move faster than light...

Comicbook World #66 - Cougar's son goes Wolverine on roommate!

In comics, a hero's greatest enemy is often a friend gone bad. From the looks of it, life is imitating art again in Vernal, Utah where 19 year old Kristofer Ryan Huff allegedly attacked his roommate with Wolverine claws for giving his moms the ole fastball special...

Phoenix Jones captures FBI fugitive #ScreamPhoenix

Scream Phoenix: Not in My City © Samax Amen
In this episode of Scream Phoenix, Seattle based costumed activists ("real life superhero") Phoenix Jones and Midknight Jack stalk track and help police catch an FBI fugitive wanted for his alleged involvement in the so-called Mayday Riots...

#ScreamPhoenix- Phoenix Jones broke this kid's finger! Sorta...

This kid learned the hard way not to f*** with mixed martial artist turned real life superhero Phoenix Jones. Lesson learned...

Comicbook World #63: Young Stars Shoot Water Bullets

While you were reading Facebook posts about what your friends had for dinner, I learned that not only did scientists discover a star shooting out superheated water at speeds 80 times faster than machine gun bullets, but they postulate that ALL "young stars" spray these liquid bullets! There's a rap lyric in there somewhere...
