Here's the sales pitch:
“ENGINES OF VENGEANCE”
• It’s the fight you’ve been waiting for: GHOST RIDER VS. a modified MR. HYDE
• ROBBIE REYES’ violent neighborhood has become a full-blown urban battlefield. Can he save it? Will he want to?
• All-out action and a twist that will hit you at a 100mph!
Well... we know HE'S not gonna be in the sixth issue! I guess this is the part where I admit that I am in love with Felipe Smith and Tradd Moore's All-New Ghost Rider. The manic energy and feel for L.A. street culture that hooked me on Felipe's Tokyopop classic MBQ are alive and well in Ghost Rider, and Tradd is making me feel like I was a fool to want Felipe to draw the book. I wasn't, but Tradd's brand of ultraviolent cartooning is every bit as exuberant and detailed as Felipe's. I'm not sure if the plan is to keep Felipe, Tradd and colorist Val Staples on Ghost Rider long term, but I sure hope so.
All-New Ghost Rider #5 arrives in comic shops Wednesday, July 30th. For those of you trade-waiting* on this book, All-New Ghost Rider: Engines of Vengeance is scheduled to drop October 14th. Click here if you wanna get your pre-order in on Amazon.

Samax Amen draws people, places and things for fun and profit. He is the artist of many great comics you never heard of like Herman Heed, Champion of Children, The Brother and The World As You Know It. He even writes and draws his own comics, like Dare: The Adventures of Darius Davidson, Spontaneous, and Manchild when he gets around to it. Because making comics is hard and stuff, he started GhettoManga as a blog in 2006 and as a print magazine in 2008.
