Why are we doing it this way? A lot of people ask me why do we set my prices "so high" if we're only going to turn around and offer discounts? Why give people the choice to pay 30 bucks a month when we could get larger payouts up front and at completion? (and we totally can, in case you're wondering)

It's really simple: Making a living as an independent is hard, and if we let it be, it's hard on our families. It helps to charge a professional rate for our work (which places us out the price range of those who need or services the most), but the money is up one month and down (sometimes WAY down) the next. There's no getting around it... It's easier on our artists' families if we have predictable income. Samax realized it would be easier to do this if it paid more like a job pays.
