Thanks to this crazy sexy cool Garnet fan art by Fydbac, I decided that I needed and deserved a Steven Universe binge...
"I learned to stay true to myself by watching myself die..."
-Steven Universe
from Steven and the Stevens
Because I am who I am, I stay impressed with the conceptual depth of Steven Universe. Steven and the Stevens was a stand out in my binge watching today. Through the use of a time travel gem, Steven learns that sometimes the solutions we whip up can be worse than the problem we are trying to solve. He also comes to terms with the depths of his own selfishness, and gets to see himself how others see him. Good stuff!
Peace,
-samax
Samax Amen draws people, places and things for fun and profit. He is the artist of many great comics you never heard of like Herman Heed, Champion of Children, The Brother and The World As You Know It. He even writes and draws his own comics, like Dare: The Adventures of Darius Davidson, Spontaneous, and Manchild when he gets around to it. Because making comics is hard and stuff, he started GhettoManga as a blog in 2006 and as a print magazine in 2008.
