after a super-human season start that had many trying to give them the Eastern Conference on a silver platter, the Boston Celtics have been looking just human lately... before January 5th the Celts had just three losses, but had lost 5 of their last 11 before thursday's game.the Celts overcame a pre-Warriors type game from Dirk Nowitzki, who snatched 11 boards and scored 31. and with MVP candidate Kevin Garnett out with a minor injury, Boston leaned on Paul Pierce and Ray Allen, but Rajon Rondo was the game hero, stealing a rebound from Dirk to hit the layup that iced the game, costing the Mavs the Southwest Division Lead.
the Celtics remain unbeaten against western conference opponents, and continue to sport the league's best record.
