Wu-Tang mastermind the RZA (already known in film and animation for his bangin' scores) is stepping up to co-produce a remake of Berry Gordy’s 1985 classic The Last Dragon, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Gordy’s son Kerry 'longside John Davis of Davis Entertainment will hold the reigns. well-traveled bad muthafucka Samuel L. Jackson (Pulp Fiction, Shaft, The Negotiator, Afro Samurai) is on board to play the prettyest, meanest, the baddest brotha of his carreer, Sho ‘Nuff.
“I’m a huge fan of the original" gushed Jackson, "and look forward to bringing Sho ‘Nuff into the 21st century.” the bigwigs wanna release The Last Dragon next year, to coincide with Motown’s 50th anniversary.
we shall see...

I am sorry I loved the first one, some things you shouldnt fool with because they were done right the first time.
If you're gonna remake though, so far they're on the right track
I think they're going to murder a classic. It was corny but it got away with being corny because everything back then was corny as hell. It belongs in its time and not sullied by today's HollowWood (Yes I purposely placed that "w" in there.) .
Just trying to make a buck off of a classic because they lack the imagination to make something fresh.
i agree...
it's so much easier to do this wrong than right. i haven't heard of anybody being happy about this.
