The immortal Ron Wimberly breaks off a small portion of knowledge, wisdom, and understanding for the fine folks at Beyond the Longbox in this fresh bit of YouTubery...
Ron is one of my favorite dudes making comics right now. I don't always agree with his take on everything, but he has earned my respect many times over with the quality of his work, and the thought that goes into his positions. Ron is one of those dudes whose opinion always feels so genuine and well-informed that even when I don't agree, I can't be mad. I love the idea of Ron being in charge of a magazine, even though it means GhettoManga will now always get compared to it everywhere I go.
^Here's another sweet interview. You're welcome. Anyways, I backed his magazine LAAB on Kickstarter, and can't wait to get my hands on it. Ron pushes me with his comics, and I look forward to being challenged by the content of this publishing project too. Actually, I am happy to wait. It's more important to me that it be dope than that it be on a schedule.
Thanks for reading.

Samax Amen is a professional Content Developer, Illustrator and Cartoonist. He is the artist of many great comics you never heard of like Herman Heed, Champion of Children, The Brother and The World As You Know It. He even writes and draws his own comics, like Dare: The Adventures of Darius Davidson, Spontaneous, and Manchild when he gets around to it. Because making comics is hard and stuff, he started GhettoManga as a blog in 2006 and as a print magazine in 2008.
