Daddy Was Wrong by Samax Amen |
When I was a child, children were just not respected. As I have grown, I have not always been on the right side of this, but I am getting better. When my daughter was a baby, I started rethinking some of the egocentric parenting styles I thought I would use. Having seen other parents start out as demagogues and grow into more human authority figures, I wanted to start from a better place. This list is a really good place to start. Not just in how we raise our own kids, but in how we treat other children. Children are not adults, but they are valid humans who deserve to be treated with dignity.1. Apologize to children when you are wrong.— Chels (@BEautifully_C) February 23, 2018
2. Do not assume you're smarter than a child simply because you're older.
3. Say thank you to children when they do something for you or others.
4. Admit when you've made a mistake and admit it openly to them.
5. Listen to children.
Anyways, I think I'm gonna do a sketch for each bullet point on this list...CLICK HERE to subscribe to my Daily Sketch email updates so you'll see the result...
Peace,
