Check out this 10 page preview of THE MIGHTY ZODIAC #4

Oni Press's anthro martial arts epic The Mighty Zodiac returns to comic shops this week with issue 4.  I got a whopping 10 page preview for you below.

Here's the sales pitch:

As the entire clan gathers at Twilight's Bastion, Master Long is ready to make the ultimate sacrifice—but does he have all the stars that he needs? Does he still need to send The Mighty Zodiac after the other stars? Meanwhile, the Moon Rabbit Army approaches while the fate of Great Tiger Ho hangs in the balance!

With the resurgence of the Ninja Turles, and the popularity of Marvel's Rocket Raccoon, I think it is a good time for creators and publishers to experiment with anthro comics: that is comics starring humanized animal characters.
Anthro characters have been heavy in manga/anime and videogames for as long as I can remember, but stuffy American comics creators and readers have been reluctant to fuck with them, for fear of being associated with "kids' stuff" like Disney and Warner Bros cartoons.  Oni has always been out front when it comes to bring diversity to comics, and J. Torres is a perfect writer to make sure it's done right, so I'm not surprised to see The Mighty Zodiac looks like a winner.
Anyways, The Mighty Zodiac #4 hits stores July 13th.
Have great day!

Samax Amen is a professional Content Developer, Illustrator and Cartoonist. He is the artist of many great comics you never heard of like Herman Heed, Champion of Children, The Brother and The World As You Know It. He even writes and draws his own comics, like Dare: The Adventures of Darius Davidson, Spontaneous, and Manchild when he gets around to it. Because making comics is hard and stuff, he started GhettoManga as a blog in 2006 and as a print magazine in 2008.
