Southern Girl 16"x20" acrylic & sharpies on canvas |
No, sisters don't all wear cowboy and hats pack steel in Texas (although they probably should). This is just one of those images that's been banging around in my head needing to get out. Southern Girl is part of a series I'm working on called Warrior Queen Mother. This looks a little brighter than the actual painting. The texture on the figures doesn't show so well, either. I'm not much of a photographer.
Anyways, I painted this with acrylics, and touched it up with Sharpies, cause that's how I roll. It's 16" x 20"
Cop the original painting for $250, a 12" x 18 " giclee print for $35, or a 9" x 12" photo print for $15. All prices include shipping.
Southern Girl is currently hanging in South Side on Lamar's Janette Kennedy Gallery in Dallas as part of Underground 2013 Exhibit. It'll be there until the end of May. Hopefully, someone will buy it between now and then!
