One of the best comics on the stands is Firebreather, by Phil Hester and Andy Kuhn. It stars a kid named Duncan, whose parents split custody of him. he floats between his nice suburban neighborhood where he lives with Moms, and the desert compound where his Pops lives... did i mention his dad is a 300 foot tall dragon? well, at least he was... looks like pops is biting the dust in Firebreather #4 (click the pic on the left for a 5-page preview)... here's the sales pitch:
