I haven't been reading the new Green Lantern book starring Simon Baz, so I can't speak much to the character the story leading up to Green Lantern #16, but I really enjoyed this preview.
Here's the Sales pitch:
• “RISE OF THE THIRD ARMY” marches toward its conclusion as Simon Baz meets his fellow Green Lantern for the first time, just as the Corps teeters on absolute destruction!
• The Guardians of the Universe make their next move exploiting the power of the First Lantern.
• Plus: What’s happened to Hal Jordan and Sinestro since they’ve been sucked into the Dead Zone?
• The end of the Guardians’ control over the Corps is near as we prepare for the next big epic!
One of the things I liked about Green Lantern when I was reading it (actually, I was reading Green Lantern Corp, but that's not the point) is the way writers had fun portraying aliens interacting with humans. Green Lantern B'dg's general annoyance with Baz is seriously amusing.

Anyways, Green Lantern #16 by Geoff Johns and Doug Mahnke (with a parade of inkers) arrives in stores today.
