I am immune to peer pressure. I didn't start reading
The Walking Dead even though all my friends were raving about it. I mean, an ongoing zombie comic? Yawn. But then they put a sister with a samurai sword taking her jawless pet zombies for a walk on the cover. You know what happened next...
Here's the Sales Pitch:
The group has a visitor, but is she friend, foe or worse? Where did she come from? How did she survive? Can she be trusted? This is the beginning of a new story arc, an excellent jumping-on point for new readers. The quest to rebuild civilization starts here.
In a move designed (I guess) to capitalize on the
AMC television show
debut,
Walking Dead publisher Image comics decided to re-release the issues of the series on a weekly basis in a reprint series entitled (wait for it)
The Walking Dead Weekly. A pretty slick way to make some extra bread from a really good comic. In case you haven't tried it, and my cosign means anything, this comic is the shit. You should check it out.

to cop
The Walking Dead, Book 1 and prepare to have your guts ripped out regularly, as Robert Kirkman and Charlie Adlard kill off characters you love (or love to hate) on a regular basis! If you prefer to fuxwit the
Weekly joint, issue #19 just dropped this past week. Get 'em while they're hot!
later.

Recently got to meet the artist charlie adlard great artist a really humble guy always has time for his fans

Hardbody you say? Hmmmm...#looksitup
Ha! Hardbody... I agree.
I love this site.
Yep. Thanks, Edward, and way to use the resources to stay informed... the Glossary is there for a reason!
I love this series and I love Michonne. I can't wait to see her in the TV series. She is honestly one of the best women characters created within recent times
Wait, I hope you guys made the connection between Michonne and the character from 28 Days Later? I'm just saying.
All in all, Walking Dead comic is tight.
I never read 28 Days Later. Did not catch my attention. Never watched the movie either.
The cover is stunning, the interior art is gorgeous, but I'm still giving this a pass.
The undead bore me now. with very few exceptions, NotLD is the only undead creation that I will tolerate anymore. Everything since feels like a rip-off of NotLD and no matter how good the story might be, I would like something original, please. (Opinionated? Why, yes I am!)
The Gutters has a great mock on The Walking Dead.
I think there's room for all kinds of genre books in comics. Zombie books have their place. I'll check out "NotLD". I really think most of Walking Dead's fans are there because of the creators more than the zombies per se.
