Whenever someone says there are no good female rappers, that's how I know I'm talking to someone who no longer has their ear to the street. My dude Jamar shared this video with me via email awhile back. I never get tired of being put on to dope girl rappers, and I want to pass this on to you. Signif sounds like she really enjoys rapping... and the emotion is infectious.
yah... I don't know why one emcee becomes famous and another struggles in obscurity. Success in the entertainment business is not necessarily based on merit, but I definitely hope I can be some small part of helping real emcees get a little shine. I for one am glad you point us to the dope female rappers out there and at least for me you point me to new artist that I likely would have missed.
I love signif's smooth style and well have to check out more of her.
And I don't know why one person can make mainstream and other's don't or why it seems like a lot of the really good talented people are the ones that don't seem to break throu but a lot of weaker rappers do.
