PREVIEW: Grant Morrison's "18 Days"

We all know comic book writer Grant Morrison (We3, Seven Soldiers, All-Star Superman) is on some other isht, but let's face it: he's one of the illest cats in the game! Here's some art from Morrison's lushly illustrated script book/story bible for 18 Days...

Here's the Sales Pitch:
From superstar creator Grant Morrison (All Star Superman, Batman & Robin, The Invisibles), comes “18 Days,” the story of three generations of super-warriors, meeting for the final battle of their age. 18 Days is a re-imagining of the great eastern myth, the Mahabharata, and follows the course of the climactic war that concludes the age of the gods and begins the age of man. It is the prototype for every war ever fought. The scale is epic, wherein the biggest armies ever conceived face one another across the ultimate battlefield to decide the fate of the future. This hardcover illustrated script book allows readers a first glimpse into the mythic animated series being developed by Morrison. The book reveals the inner workings of the acclaimed writer’s process and features the original animation scripts, story bible, character descriptions and commentaries. Morrison’s groundbreaking story is matched perfectly with original illustrations created by acclaimed artist, Mukesh Singh (Devi, Gamekeeper).

not really sure what's gonna come of this, but I thought y'all might wanna see it. If you decide you actually want to buy this book, look for it in your local comic shop this Wednesday, November 10th.

Frankly, I'm impressed that he got something like this green lighted and off the ground for an American audience. I'm especially interested in what the final renderings for animation will look like.

holy crap, that warrior women pic!!! O_O looks insane. though you'd think if they were bred to fight, they wouldn't have such huge boobs, i can't imagine those things help them any. looks pretty awesome though, i was at the shop yesterday and didn't see this at all...

i wish they'd just do a comic with this same type of illustration and let Singh go nuts. probably too time-consuming.
