I didn't catch the first issue of S.W.O.R.D. last month, but I'm excited by this new series! Commander Brand and Beast move over from Astonishing X-men as Brand continues to run the Earth's alien defense agency. but now her new Osborne-appointed partner Henry Gyrich has decided that extraterrestrials are no longer welcome on Earth. So say goodbye to Marvel Boy, Beta Ray Bill, Karolina from the Runaways and a ton of others…including Agent Brand and Lockheed! Gyrich has turned the tables on our heroine and her time as head of S.W.O.R.D. is coming to a close. but yo, click the cover for a preview of SWORD #2, then go cop it tomorrow Wednesday December 9th at your comic shop!-gM

Just read issue #1 last night. It was really well-written...tongue and cheek. Kinda in the vein of Whedon, but the writer has his own voice. Warning though: the Cassady covers are totally misleading!

i've been peeping the free previews. money is tight right now, so I won't get it anytime soon, but I hope it lasts so i can cop the trade.
