Apparently your man LeSean Thomas (The Boondocks, Ben10: Alien Force) was developing a Thundercats animated series for the WB a few years back, that obviously never came to pass. But it wasn't a total loss, because it resulted in this concept piece. The piece was included in the colossal hardcover artbook MIDNIGHT MARAUDER: The Art of LeSean Thomas Vol.2 that LeS dropped in 2008.
